π What an incredible start to the 2026β2027 school year! π
Friday, Stokes County Schools staff came together for the annual Convocation to celebrate the beginning of a new school year filled with purpose, passion, and possibility.
We were inspired by heartfelt reflections from our Principal of the Year, Adam Smith, and Teacher of the Year, Sawyer Ferguson, who shared personal stories about the people and experiences that have shaped their journeys and reminded us of the lasting impact educators have on students every day.
Superintendent Dr. Brad Rice shared the district's vision for the year ahead:
β¨ Excellence in Each School β Opportunities for Each Student β¨
This vision will guide our work as we strive to provide every student with the support, opportunities, and excellence they deserve.
A special highlight of the morning was recognizing Lanette Moore for her incredible dedication and more than 50 years of service to Stokes County Schools. Her unwavering commitment to generations of students, staff, and families is an extraordinary legacy, and we are deeply grateful for the lasting impact she has made on our district.
