🍎🥛 Free Breakfast & Lunch for the 2026–2027 School Year!

Danbury Public Schools is pleased to continue participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2026–2027 school year!

Through CEP, all students enrolled at participating schools can receive one FREE complete breakfast and one FREE complete lunch each school day - at no cost to families and no household application required.

Convocation 2026 is officially underway!

Danbury Public Schools is kicking off a new school year by bringing our incredible staff together for a day of connection, celebration, inspiration, and preparation for the year ahead.

Today is an opportunity to Empower, Inspire, and Transform as we come together to support our students, strengthen our school community, and prepare for an incredible year ahead.

From our amazing vendors and staff to the smoothie truck and photo booth, there’s plenty of energy and excitement as we get ready to welcome our students back!

Danbury Public Schools’ Office of Family, School, and Community Partnerships is proud to celebrate the success of our Kindergarten Transition Workshops, with more than 250 families participating as they prepared for this exciting milestone. Workshops were offered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese to support and engage families across our community.

A special thank you to our incredible kindergarten teachers - Mrs. Donascimento, Mrs. Cuggy, and Ellsworth Avenue School Teacher of the Year Mrs. Gomez - for leading engaging and informative sessions that helped families understand what to expect in kindergarten and how to support their child’s success from day one.

Before leaving for the evening, families visited our technology and resource table to get connected to the tools and information they will need for a successful start to the school year, including transportation and bus information, ParentSquare and school communications, open house schedules, school supply lists, before- and after-school program information, and other important district resources.

Thank you to every family who joined us and took this important step toward a successful start to the school year!

DPS Administrators are in Learning Mode!

Our administrative team has been hard at work getting ready for the opening of school, heads together, sleeves rolled up, mapping out school improvement plans and setting clear goals for the year ahead. There is something energizing about watching leaders from across our schools sit shoulder to shoulder, sharing ideas, challenging each other’s thinking, and building a shared vision for what excellence looks like in every Danbury classroom.

They asked the hard questions about what our students need, looked honestly at where we can grow, and put real strategies behind our goals.

A night for Danbury’s future!

Thank you to the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce for hosting the Health Connect Business Expo in collaboration with the Academies of Danbury High School!

We had such a great time connecting with the 30 local businesses who came out to network with us at Danbury High School West Campus- thank you to all of those in attendance!

We can’t wait to keep building these partnerships throughout the new school year.
