As a high school student-athlete with aspirations of playing at the collegiate level, the path to securing a spot on a university team can often feel like navigating a maze. However, there's a strategic window in mid-December that presents a golden opportunity for those who haven't committed to a university yet. This period is crucial due to occasional surprise decisions made by admissions departments (early admissions decisions announced in mid-December), unexpected injuries, or last-minute commitment decisions potentially leaving open roster spots for eager athletes.
