SGA Friends and Family - Get the "411" Friends and Family, Stay in touch with all of what is going on at SGA!! Southwest Georgia Academy is a college preparatory school located in Damascus, Georgia.

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is composed of involved parents and teachers whose common purpose is to provide an enriched educational experience.

After three days of hard work and workouts, our athletes are using yoga to help improve mobility, flexibility, and recovery while releasing stress and soreness. Yoga gives our athletes a chance to reset, recover, and take care of their bodies while continuing to build flexibility and movement that can translate to improved athletic performance and speed.

We had our first HANDS Club meeting today, and we are really excited to get started! HANDS has been a service club at SGA for many years, and we are happy that it is back!

We have a lot of fun community service projects planned for this school year. Our first project for the first nine weeks is a Diaper Drive to benefit Helping Mamas in Albany. This project includes our whole school, so everyone can work together to help others.

We are asking our elementary and middle school classes to help! The elementary class and middle school class that bring in the most donated items will each win a doughnut party!

HANDS Club is excited to serve our school and community this year. We can’t wait to see what we can accomplish when we put our HANDS to work helping others!

Stay tuned for more HANDS Club projects throughout the school year!
