Damascus High School SGA

Damascus High School SGA It allows students to voice their ideas in the planning of activities that affect the general welfare of the school and students.

The purpose of this organization is to serve the DHS community by providing students with opportunities to develop their leadership skills, promoting positive student-faculty relations, citizenship, and supporting other student clubs and organizations. Members shall act as ambassadors to our community through service. Student Government is open to all who want to help out and make a positive difference.

Congratulations to the new 2013-2014 Damascus High School Student Government Officers and Appointed Staff. Morgan Johnson, DHS Vice President of two years was elected to serve as School President. Emma Russell, class of 2015 Vice President of two years was elected to serve DHS as school Vice President. Lydia Bonvillain, will serve as Public Relations. Olivia D'Ovidio, will serve as Secretary. Lastly Sahee Abdelmomin, will serve as Treasurer. I look forward to hearing what wonderful things the DHS SGA takes on under Morgan Johnson's Administration as this should be a exciting year with new students, new staff, and lets not forget a new Principal! We are planning to have our 2nd annual holiday party next week on Thursday if enough people are willing to come! it will be after school in V's room. THere will be food and fun, but we need a good movie to play, any suggestions? last year was elf. Comment or Text Morgan or Thavorn.

ATTENTION ALL SGA MEMBERS WHO WERE ATTENDING THE WASHINGTON TRIP: if you were planning on attending the Washington DC Trip this December, the SGA officer team is sorry to inform you that complications have come up and we will no longer be attending that date. This does not mean we are going at all! We will be going at a later date in the spring time for the cherry blossom festival so mark your calendars. Again we are sorry for the short notice but again: the dc trip had been canceled. See Morgan or Thavorn for any questions.

Montgomery County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, October 29 and Tuesday, October 30, due to emergency weather conditions. All school and community activities in school buildings are canceled. Administrative offices are closed Monday October 29.
