Cheerful Hearts uses a play-based curriculum. Children learn best through their own daily creativity, exploration, and imagination within an age appropriate learning environment.
Preschool is free for Foster children and Lower income families for ages 3-5.

Hours of operation:
Monday through Thursday
8am to 3:30pm
Availability:
3- 5 year olds
My Qualifications:
25+ years' experience teaching in a certified child care center
1st Aid and CPR trained
Taught Sunday school for 7+ years
25+ years of annual continuing early childhood education
Food handler's card
Step Nine on Oregon childcare registry
Star rated by the Oregon Quality Rating and Improvement System
Curriculum:
I implement the "Creative Curriculum for Preschoolers"
The curriculum fosters social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development and it enhances learning in
literacy, math, science, social studies, the arts, and technology.
Learning through Play:
The learning environment is divided into eleven different interest areas that supports the play based curriculum.
These eleven areas include:
-Blocks
-Dramatic Play
-Discovery
-Toys and Games
-Sand and Water
-Music and Movement
-Library
-Technology
-Cooking
-Art
-Outdoors
Health and Safety:
Fenced yard
Registered with USDA Food Program-nutritious snacks, and lunch provided. Regular hand washing and a clean environment for play and learning.
