We can finally perform at the San Carlos Art and Wine again! Come watch our students perform TODAY at 1 & 2:30! Westlake School for the Performing Arts will be sharing their talents and our MTC will share a sneak peek of their production of NEWSIES!

MEET THE CAST! IT'S SHOW DAY! Alliana Lili Yang as Kathy Selden!! 6pm!

1. Besides musical theatre, what is your favorite hobby activity.

Besides musical theatre, I enjoy sketch drawing and also hanging out with friends.

2. What do you like most about the role you’re playing in singing in the rain?

My favorite things about the role of Kathy are her spunky personality, her love for acting and singing, her being outspoken and having a strong sense of what is right. I also really admire Kathy for knowing who she is and standing up for herself. Lastly, I really enjoy the time period this show is set in.

3. What do you want to be when you grow up?

When I grow up I want to be a Broadway Star!

Meet the Cast-Chloe "Tutu" Twu as Don Lockwood.

1. Besides musical theater, I enjoy drawing.
2. My favorite part of Don Lockwood is his unwavering loyalty to his friends
3. I’m still not exactly sure what I’d like to be in the future, but I will be majoring in anthropology with an archaeology concentration next year, so I’ll see where that takes me.

GET TO KNOW THE CAST! Sayuri Hughes as Lina Lamont!

1. Besides musical theatre what is your favorite hobby activity.
I largely take part in visual and literary arts, such as poetry, digital art, writing stories, etc!

2. What do you like most about the role you’re playing in singing in the rain?
I think the thing I enjoy most about playing Lina Lamont is just how expressive and exaggerative I can be. It is extremely fun to figure out how she would say certain words and what body language she would deliver.

3. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to become an actor, whether it be on Broadway or in a studio. It's something that I have a lot of passion for and something that I can’t seem to stop doing, I think I was just born a performer!

Besides musical theater I like to read all sorts of books.

I like playing the role of Cosmo Brown because he's such a funny guy.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
When I get older I want to be a Disney Imagineer and build rides in Disney Parks.

What I like most about the role of Kathy is her attitude and being able to sing all the great songs in the show.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO BESIDES MUSICAL THEATRE?
I like hanging out with my cat, Loki! He’s a one year old tabby who likes to play with bottle caps. I also like to spend time with friends and watch MCU movies.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT THE ROLE YOU'RE PLAYING?
The thing I love most about playing Don is his range. I have a lower voice compared to other girls, and there aren’t many roles for female alto singers. Being Don allows me to fulfill those alto dreams of mine!

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
When I grow up, I want to be an actor. I will be attending Chapman University in the fall as a theatre major with a minor in psychology . I want to be able to use the platform I have to speak — and act — on topics such as mental health and women’s rights.
