Yes on Measure T

Yes on Measure T Vote Yes on Measure T on November 8, 2016 to support the Jefferson Elementary School District!

To continue improving student achievement, the Jefferson Elementary School District Board of Education has placed a $68 parcel tax on the November 8, 2016 ballot. The JESD is one of the lowest funded elementary school districts in San Mateo County. Funding from Measure T could be used to:
*Attract, retain and train highly qualified teachers
*Protect core academics in math, science, technology, rea

ding and writing
*Maintain dedicated reading instruction for
struggling students
*Expand hands-on science programs
*Keep schools safe, clean and well maintained
*Protect after school and summer school programs to keep students engaged in positive activities and on the right track

All money raised by this measure would be controlled locally and could not be taken away by Sacramento

Independent citizens’ oversight and annual audits would be required to ensure the money is spent as promised

No funds could be used to pay administrators’ salaries or benefits

Senior citizen homeowners would be eligible for an exemption

The measure would expire in 9 years and could not be renewed without voter approval

Thank you to our Jefferson Elementary School District community for continuing to support our public education. We needed 67% to pass Measure T -- thanks to you and our many volunteers, we won by nearly 75%! Proposition 55 also passed by a majority of 62%. Our Measure T team is extraordinarily proud to have your dedication and trust to do what's best for our schools and children, to save programs and improve our schools.

Re-Elect Kalimah and Andy to the Jefferson Union High School Board. Join us in front of the schools from 7:30 am to 8:15 am!
