BROOKWOOD 🦁 ELEMENTARY PTO NEEDS YOU!
We’re looking for some AMAZING LIONS to join our PTO team and help make this an exceptional year for our Little Lions!
We have several PTO positions we’d love to fill:
⭐ Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary / Social Media, Spirit Wear, Hospitality
While we have some already incredible volunteers assisting with these areas we know that their little ones time at Brookwood is quickly coming to a close and would love pass on our traditions.
NO experience needed!
Whether you have a lot of time to give or just want to find a way to get more involved, we would love to have you on our team!
Our PTO is only as strong as the parents, families, and volunteers who step up to help. Together, we can support our teachers, encourage our students, create memorable experiences, and make Brookwood an even more special place for our kids.

🎉 A $500 STEM surprise for Brookwood! 🦁🔬

Brookwood mom and longtime PTO member Ashley Hunter dropped off a $500 check today for the Brookwood PTO to use toward STEM projects this school year!

The donation came from Ashley’s company, Signal, following a fun company-wide Step Challenge this summer. Over the 61-day challenge, Ashley logged 575,091 steps and spent more than half of the challenge in 1st place before ultimately finishing 3rd.

The 1st-place winner generously chose to give his $500 nonprofit donation to Ashley, knowing how much the cause meant to her. Ashley chose to donate the money to Brookwood PTO to help fund STEM projects for our students this year.

We are incredibly grateful to Signal for making this opportunity possible, to Ashley for choosing Brookwood, and to her coworker for such a thoughtful and generous gesture. ❤️ 🦁🔬

Way to go, Lions!!!

Since 2019, the Don Amonett Cup has recognized outstanding school spirit and participation across Dalton Public Schools. Named in honor of longtime educator and proud Dalton native Don Amonett, this prestigious award celebrates the school that goes above and beyond in engaging with district-wide events and initiatives throughout the year. We’re proud to announce that the 2025–2026 winner of the Don Amonett Cup is Brookwood Elementary! Please join us in congratulating them on this well-deserved recognition.

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who gave their time over the last two days to help our concession stand run smoothly — we truly couldn’t do it without you! 💙

Your 2025–2026 PTO Board wrapped up our final Field Day together today, and what a fun way to end the year! ☀️ This group worked incredibly hard all year long to support our students, teachers, and school community while making sure Brookwood was a place where everyone could have fun, feel encouraged, and feel loved.

We’ll definitely miss the board members whose families are heading off to middle school next year, but we’re so grateful for the memories, friendships, and teamwork we shared along the way. Wishing next year’s PTO the very best and an amazing year ahead! 🦁🎉

We wrapped up Teacher Appreciation Week today with a sub sandwich lunch for our amazing teachers and staff as a small thank you for all they do each and every day! 🥪🍎🦁

We also want to give a HUGE thank you to all of our incredible parent volunteers who donated their time, energy, money, items, ideas, and smiles this week to help make everything so special for our teachers. Your support and generosity helped us show our teachers just how loved and appreciated they are, and we truly could not do it without you! ❤️

🦁🌻This Friday is Kindergarten's annual Mother's Day Plant Sale! Our Nature Protectors have worked diligently for months to provide you with milkweed, alyssum, succulents, hand painted crafts, and so much more! The item prices will range from $1 - $20, and the plant sale will be open from 3:30pm - 4:30pm to any families that are interested in purchasing. *Please check in at the front office if you plan to purchase during the after-school hours

Field Day is RIGHT around the corner, and we still need parent volunteers to help keep the popcorn popping 🍿, the popsicles flowing 🍧, and the fun going strong! ☀️🎉
Right now… our sign-up sheet is looking a little lonely. 👀

Whether you can help for a little while or a full shift, we promise it’s FUN! You’ll still be able to watch events, cheer on your favorite Lions, and soak up all the Field Day excitement while helping PTO make this special event happen.

Teacher Appreciation Day 4 ☔️🍎

We started this rainy morning with teachers thanking us for opening car doors in the hug-and-go line and telling us, “You’re awesome!” 🤯 No ma’am… teachers are awesome! That’s exactly why we’re here. 😉

The dreary weather didn’t stand a chance against all the sweet smiles and cheerful “good mornings” from our precious Lions this morning. 🦁💛

We can’t think of a better way to start a Thursday than honoring our amazing teachers and welcoming our students to school!
