Our Lady Waves volleyball team has placed 2nd in the league and are headed to the semifinals. They will be playing in a semi-final game vs. North Whitfield at 5:00pm at Riverbend Park. The winner of that game will continue on to the finals. Let's pack out the stands with Gold and Green! Good luck ladies, let's bring home a win!

Just a reminder that in compliance with the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act, the Whitfield County School System would like to inform you that you may request information about the professional qualifications of your student's teacher(s) and/or paraprofessional(s). The following information may be request:
-Whether the student's teacher
-has met State qualifications and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction;
-is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which State qualification or licensing criteria have been waived; and
-is teaching in the field of discipline of the certification of the teacher.
-Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.

🌿🏔️ On Thursday, our 7th graders had an amazing day of learning and adventure at Fort Mountain State Park! Students enjoyed snorkeling, exploring nature trails, finding and identifying leaves, and learning about the animals and ecosystems around them. 🐟🍂🦎 These hands-on experiences gave students the opportunity to connect what they learn in the classroom to the world around them. Most importantly, our students had so much fun exploring, asking questions, and making memories with their classmates! 💚📚 We are so proud of the curiosity, excitement, and positive attitudes they showed throughout the day!

Students in Mr. Falla's class have been learning about the American Revolution and the Declaration of Independence. As part of their learning, they wrote a thoughtful “break-up letter” to King George III explaining why the American colonies were ready to become independent. In their letters, students expressed their concerns about British rule and respectfully explained their reasons for declaring independence from Great Britain.
