🎉 Congratulations to The Dalton Academy senior Gabriela Mojica-Nava, who was selected to attend the prestigious Georgia Ready Summer Institute at the University of Georgia this summer! Gabriela earned her spot after qualifying for the Georgia Certificate of Merit, joining just 50 students chosen from 660 applicants statewide — spending a week diving into workshops, admissions insights, and a peek at UGA's medical program. As Gabriela put it: college isn't as scary as it seems!

Way to go, Gabriela! 🏆🎓

LIFE SKILLS IN ACTION!
Driver’s Ed is about more than just steering wheels and traffic laws! Our students took learning outside today for a hands-on lesson on how to safely change a flat tire.

From positioning the jack to loosening lug nuts and mounting the spare, these Pumas are gaining real-world confidence to handle roadside emergencies like pros. Way to go, future drivers!

¡Educación para Conductores es mucho más que solo manejar! Hoy nuestros estudiantes salieron a la práctica para aprender paso a paso cómo cambiar una llanta ponchada de manera segura.

Desde colocar el gato hidráulico hasta aflojar las tuercas y montar el repuesto, nuestros Pumas están adquiriendo la confianza necesaria para resolver cualquier emergencia en la carretera. ¡Excelente trabajo, futuros conductores!

Did you know..... As part of the Georgia High School Association (GHSA), our One Act team competes at the regional and state levels. Students perform a full play while working within a set time limit. This is a great way to be involved at school!

TDA One Act Team auditions are coming up! Join us for Bystander 9/11 by Meron Langsner and be part of the cast—or help bring the production to life backstage and behind the scenes.

After their recent JROTC Program of Accreditation and Unit Report for the 2026–2027 school year, our cadets earned an impressive score of 95.30%! 📈✨

We’re proud to celebrate Dr. Cindy Wiggins, ELA Teacher at The Dalton Academy, as a finalist for the Tom Jones Educator of the Year Award!

With 26 years in education, including 25 years with Dalton Public Schools, Dr. Wiggins has been part of The Dalton Academy since its doors first opened. She teaches AP Language, AP Seminar, AP Research, and other ELA courses, bringing deep expertise, high expectations, and a genuine commitment to helping students find their voices.

We are incredibly proud to see Dr. Wiggins recognized among this year’s outstanding educators. Congratulations, Dr. Wiggins! We’ll be cheering you on Friday!
