AIM Nutrition Coaching

AIM Nutrition Coaching One on One nutrition coaching that is done remotely. A nutritional philosophy centered around macron AIM is for anyone.

AIM Nutrition Coaching evolved from my love of health, teaching, reaching goals, hard work, and a desire to be the person in your corner. I have been an elementary teacher for 11 years and have been a Crossfit coach for 5 years. I am a mom, a wife, a two time Ironman, a long distance runner, a Crossfit competitor, and a geek when it comes to nutrition, exercise, and overall health. AIM fosters sel

f awareness, discipline, and the ability to make choices that make a person proud of themselves and happy with the person they see. Anyone that has a goal and a desire to make change in their daily life and habits. Building a positive relationship with food and learning to be in control of one's choices is my main focus. AIM promotes accountability and requires one to be committed to themselves and to me. AIM is a remotely-based nutrition coaching service with five coaches who are available for anyone seeking support, education, and accountability regarding their nutrition. Whatever your goals, whether weight loss, muscle gain, or improving your relationship with food, we’ve got you!

I respect the confidence that comes from feeling good in your body.

But here’s the thing:

Weight loss isn’t the only way to get there.

How many of you have made “lose weight” the goal, while also wanting to build muscle, get stronger, eat better, have more energy, and actually enjoy your life?

Because honestly?

It hits different when your goal is to ADD to your life and your body instead of constantly trying to take something away.

Add protein.
Add strength training.
Add steps.
Add sleep.
Add better habits.
Add meals that actually satisfy you.
Add consistency.

Yes, you can want to lose body fat.
You can want to change your body composition.
You can want to feel leaner and more confident.

But you don’t have to spend your entire life eating less to make that happen.

Body composition change can be about building as much as it is about losing.

And helping women make that mindset shift from “what do I need to cut?” to “what can I build?” is easily one of my favorite parts of this job. 💛

There’s always a last bite.

And remembering that can actually change how you eat.

When we label foods as “bad,” “off limits,” or “I shouldn’t be eating this,” we tend to give them more mental attention and eating can become something we feel like we have to rush, control, or “get in” before it’s gone.

A more useful approach?

Let the food be available. Then let the eating experience end.

Pay attention to the taste.
Notice when you’re satisfied.
Put the food away.
And move on with your day.

This is one of the principles behind mindful eating: increasing awareness of what and how much you’re eating without adding judgment.

Because the goal isn’t to become better at resisting food.

It’s to become better at trusting that you can have it and that you don’t have to keep eating it.

You may just need more awareness of when you should take the last bite.

Student athletes need more than a protein shake and a good dinner.

They need enough food throughout the entire day to support school, growth, training and recovery.

Use this simple checklist:

3 meals
2–3 snacks
Pick 2 carbs at each meal
Pick 1 protein at each meal
Pick at least 5 fruits and vegetables each day
Drink water throughout the day

Specifics to what your athlete needs will depend on their body, sport and training schedule; and goals but this gives them a strong place to start.

Save this for the season and send it to a student athlete or parent who needs it.

If the excuse is “I don’t have time for breakfast,” then we’ve got you.

Enter 👉🏽 the 5-minute breakfast ideas that pack at least 30g protein.

The goal is to make the better choice the easy choice, so use the shortcuts like store-bought hard boiled eggs and egg bites, pre-washed fruits + veggies, individually portioned yogurt or cottage cheese cups, frozen fruit, and precooked proteins/deli meat.

If your afternoons feel like a constant battle with cravings or overeating, try starting your day fueled and see how much easier the rest of your choices feel.

A good coach doesn’t just give you a calorie target and send you on your merry little way.

They teach you how to navigate the middle.

The hunger. The weekends. The plateaus. The social stuff. The days where motivation is zero.

Because knowing what to do is one thing.

Knowing how to adjust when real life happens is a totally different skill.

That’s where having a good coach is 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽

You need someone who knows when to hold the line and when to change the plan.

Being successful in endurance sports isn’t about proving how much discomfort you can tolerate while doing the least possible to support your body.

My training is demanding on purpose. I seek out terrain that prepares me for the race, keep strength work at the center of my week and fuel well enough to get something valuable from every session.

That doesn’t mean every workout is hard. It means every workout has a purpose; and I support my body well enough to adapt to it.

You can’t control who shows up on race day or how talented they are.

You can control how prepared you are when you get there.

Train for the demands.
Stay strong.
Fuel to thrive.

There is nothing wrong with remembering what your body used to be capable of.

The problem is when every memory becomes evidence that you aren’t enough anymore.

“I used to squat this.”
“I used to weigh this.”
“I used to have abs.”
“I used to run faster.”
“I used to be so much leaner.”

Eventually, you stop remembering your past and start using it against yourself.

And that’s a terrible way to experience the body you have today.

Your body changes.
Your priorities change.
Your training changes.
Your life changes.
And sometimes your capacity changes, too.

That doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you’re living.

You can absolutely have goals. You can want to get stronger, improve your body composition, or chase a new PR.

But don’t let the pursuit of what’s next make you blind to what’s already here.

Because there’s a good chance the version of you you’re so busy criticizing is doing a hell of a lot better than you give them credit for.

Pay attention to that, too.

Fat loss is not the only outcome worth chasing.

Sometimes the scale changes. Sometimes it doesn’t. But that doesn’t mean you’re not becoming healthier.

The best nutrition and fitness plans aren’t just about helping you weigh less. They’re about helping you live more.

Your health should give you more freedom, not just a smaller number on the scale. ✌🏽
