December 10, 2023 - Fae decorating the Christmas Tree with our Pennsylvania grandkids Collin and Maggie. Son Ben brought the tree up from the basement and assembled it. Ken supervised :-)

I wanted to post an update about our Great Loop adventure. After 4 months on our boat, we decided to take a brief break and come home for the holidays, doctors and other appointments, so we left the boat at Midway Marina in Fulton, Mississippi on November 8th. We traveled 3000 miles from Middle River and still have another 3000 miles to go down to Mobile Bay, across the Gulf of Mexico, across or around Florida and then up the intercoastal waterway back to Maryland. We plan to be back on the boat early to mid March and expect to be back in Maryland by August or September 2024 completing our Great Loop.
The map shows our route and stops so far. Anyone interested I have a YouTube page documenting this trip called "Looping on Retriever".
I am 75, a cancer survivor and refuse to give in to age or medical issues and believe that we can do anything we set our mind to.
