It’s time!! This year’s Senior Dance Concert, Shockwave, features 13 original works choreographed by the class of 2026 and produced by the Meadows Division of Dance!

The seniors choreographic projects will be presented in two different programs, one featuring 6 dances, the other 7 dances.

Program A:
Friday May 1st at 8pm
Saturday May 2nd at 2pm

Program B:
Saturday May 2nd at 8pm
Sunday May 3rd at 2pm

Kendall Schumacher () from Madison, Wisconsin and is graduating with a BFA in Dance Performance with minors in Chinese and Statistical Science.

Piece Title: Two Rivers, One Current

A summer studying abroad in Shanghai last year changed everything; immersed in the art, culture, and dance of China, she returned with a new vision for what her movement practice could hold. That experience, alongside her Engaged Learning Fellowship researching the marketing strategies of Chinese ballet companies, ignited a desire to weave her worlds together. The result is *Two Rivers, One Current* - her senior choreographic showcase piece asking what happens when ballet and Chinese classical dance stop negotiating and simply breathe together. Two vocabularies. Two traditions. One current. Next, she begins an apprenticeship with Kanopy Dance Company while pursuing her MA in Arts and Creative Enterprise Leadership.

Addison Joslin () is from Jupiter, Florida and is graduating with a BFA in Dance Performance with a minor in Advertising.

This piece serves as a heartfelt thank you to classical ballet as the art form that has shaped every aspect of my life into what it is today. I could not be more grateful for the opportunities it has given me and the lifelong friendships it has brought me along the way!

Piece Title: Coming to America

My piece follows the journey of the middle passage, from Africa, through the Atlantic ocean to finally arriving in America/ The Black Church, through an artistic kinesthetic lens.
