FBI raids Ohio voting rights organization 06/12/2026

"Prentiss Haney, a board member of the Ohio Organizing Collaborative, told MS NOW Thursday night that agents approached people with connections to the group, including some who had performed basic canvassing and volunteer work, and pressed them for information.

Agents were “basically trying to fish for information,” Haney said.

“They had agents all across the state going to civil rights leaders’ and community leaders’ doors intimidating them, coming and demanding that they talk about literally anything they would ask,” Haney said, adding that agents “asked them if they’re committing voter fraud, just on their doors, in front of their houses with their children, and just following them to work and school.”

Data Center Boom Exposes GOP Faultlines over Local Control 06/09/2026

"According to The Texas Tribune, state Representative Cody Vasut, who represents a rural-ish district in coastal Brazoria County, has vowed to bring a bill that would return regulatory control over data centers to counties next session. He filed the bill last session, but it languished in committee. State Representative Helen Kerwin, a rural Republican from Glen Rose, also called on the governor to support a statewide moratorium until the necessary environmental studies can be completed, while soon-to-be state Senator David Cook has said he plans to bring a bill that would also give counties new powers to regulate data centers."

It’s Pride 2026. And MAGA is coming for us all 06/06/2026

Damned outside of the Status Quo. Damned as a part of it…..

"Writing in The New York Times, the researchers hypothesized that there wasn’t a correlation with anti-transgender bias as much as there was, oddly, a correlation with “anti-establishment” bias.

The sustained social disruption since 2020 has fueled resentment and a loss of confidence in institutions perceived to have failed — governments, corporations, the broader establishment. By 2020, support for gay and le***an equality had become an establishment position. Corporate America, for example, demonstrated a concrete commitment to gay rights, with companies donating hundreds of thousands of dollars for Pride celebrations and other efforts at gay and le***an inclusion.

In other words, g**s and le***ans were “collateral damage,” they theorized, amid a larger revolt against established institutions."

It’s Pride 2026. And MAGA is coming for us all Trump and the GOP are fomenting a full-throated backlash meant to destroy LGBTQ rights, including marriage equality. But we have the power to stop it.
