Army Scholarship Foundation Army soldiers. Army, and to spouses of currently serving soldiers. Founded in 2001 by a group of U.S. Army.

We are a charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to providing college scholarships for undergraduate study to deserving children and spouses of current and former U.S. The Army Scholarship Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to providing college scholarships for undergraduate study to deserving children of current and former members of the U.S. Army veterans, the Foundation is dedicated to assisting sons, daughters, and spouses of soldiers in achieving their educational dreams. It is staffed entirely by volunteers and keeps operating expenses extremely low so that 98% of donated funds go toward scholarships. The Foundation is organized as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Texas, and is a charitable organization exempt from federal income taxes under Article 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Under current IRS regulations, all contributions and donations made to the Army Scholarship Foundation are fully tax deductible. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Major General Knell has dedicated more than three decades to serving our nation. Her distinguished career has taken her around the world, with leadership assignments in Germany, Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Today, she serves as Deputy Commanding General โ€“ JBSA, U.S. Army Western Hemisphere Command, at Joint Base San Antonioโ€“Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Weโ€™re proud to celebrate Miriam Joy Bonney, an Army Scholarship Foundation scholarship recipient from 2021โ€“2024, on her incredible academic journey.

Miriam graduated ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐š ๐œ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ฅ๐š๐ฎ๐๐ž from ๐’๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ง ๐•๐ข๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐š ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ with a 4.0 GPA, earning ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐ž๐ž ๐›๐š๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ซโ€™๐ฌ ๐๐ž๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ž๐ฌ while balancing work, leadership roles, and volunteer serviceโ€”including teaching English to students in India. She recently added an MBA from ๐“๐ž๐ฑ๐š๐ฌ ๐“๐ž๐œ๐ก ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, graduating with a 3.9 GPA.

Thanks in part to the support of ASF, Miriam was able to focus on her education, pursue meaningful opportunities, and graduate debt-free. Today, sheโ€™s building a career in marketing and photography while continuing her passion for serving others.
