.. S.E.E.K. sits down with John Crouch of the Fraternity of the Hidden Light for a profound exploration into the hidden architecture behind the Tarot, the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, Hermetic Qabalah, Western mystery traditions, and the initiatic symbolism that has fascinated philosophers, magicians, psychologists, artists, and seekers for centuries.
From the twenty two Major Arcana and their relationship to the Hebrew alphabet, to the ten Sephiroth as stages of consciousness and cosmic emanation, this interview uncovers how the Tarot evolved from Renaissance imagery into one of the most influential symbolic systems in human history.

The Yasna Ceremony, Ephedra, and Psychedelic Origins
.. The ancient Yasna ceremony of Zoroastrianism preserves one of humanity’s oldest living ritual traditions, centered around the mysterious sacred plant known as Haoma. We explore the modern use of ephedra in the Yasna rite, the chemistry of the plant, and the ongoing scholarly debate surrounding whether the original Haoma was once a visionary entheogen capable of producing altered states of consciousness and mystical illumination.
Drawing from the work of R. Gordon Wasson, Carl A. P. Ruck, David Flattery, and other researchers in comparative religion, ethnobotany, and Iranian studies, this episode examines the Avestan texts describing Haoma as a divine source of wisdom, revelation, sacred speech, and immortal consciousness. These descriptions can be compared to entheogenic traditions found throughout the ancient world, including Vedic Soma, Greek mystery religions, and shamanic visionary rites.
Discover the esoteric symbolism, ritual continuity, and hidden botanical mysteries behind one of the oldest sacramental traditions in recorded history. “Researchers have found evidence of a hallucinogenic ritual that may have helped ancient Egyptians reenact a mythical story in which a dwarf god tricks the sky goddess.
In a paper published November 13th [2024] in the journal ‘Scientific Reports’, the team reports finding the remains of a concoction that may have induced hallucinations in those who drank it. They found the remains inside a 2,200-year-old vase that shows Bes, an ancient Egyptian dwarf-god associated with childbirth, merriment and music.
The team conducted chemical analyses of organic residues inside the vase, revealing traces of wild rue (Peganum harmala), Egyptian lotus (Nymphaea nouchali var. caerulea), and a plant of the Cleome genus, all of which are traditionally shown to have ‘psychotropic and medicinal properties,’ the team wrote in their paper.
They also detected the remains of sesame seeds, pine nuts, licorice and grapes — a combination that was ‘commonly used to make the beverage look like blood,' the team said in a statement.’
These finds make the team think that people in ancient Egypt were trying to recreate the ‘Myth of the Solar Eye.’ In the story, Bes calmed Hathor, a sky-goddess associated with fertility, when she was in a bloodthirsty mood by ‘serving her an alcoholic beverage, spiked with a plant-based drug, disguised as blood to a deep forgetting sleep,’ the team wrote in the paper.”

Mandrake and Mushrooms in Ancient Egypt
.. Did ancient Egyptian religion secretly encode mandrake and psychedelic mushroom symbolism within artifacts and sacred art?
We investigate theories surrounding an entheogenic mandrake vessel, and mushroom imagery within ancient Egyptian iconography, tied to rebirth, divinity, and altered states of consciousness.
Featuring broader discussions by Paul Stamets, this video explores whether ancient priests concealed initiatory knowledge through symbolic abstraction, sacred geometry, and ritual art, and visionary artifacts.
Through archaeology, comparative mythology, ethnobotany, Egyptology, and esoteric symbolism, we ask whether ancient civilizations encoded psychoactive knowledge into mythic imagery, or whether modern researchers are uncovering patterns never intended by their creators ...

The 'Bes Vase' Mystery: Syrian Rue and Psychedelic Rituals in Ancient Egypt
.. Did ancient Egypt possess knowledge of psychoactive plant combinations long before modern chemistry? We investigate the mysterious 'Bes' Vase and the discovery of Syrian Rue residue within ritual Egyptian containers linked to ecstatic worship, healing ceremonies, and altered states of consciousness.
Associated with the enigmatic deity Bes, these ritual vessels may reveal evidence for ancient Egyptian entheogenic practices involving Syrian Rue, blue lotus, mandrake, acacia, and ceremonial drink preparation.
We explore how beta-carboline compounds such as harmine and harmaline function pharmacologically, why these discoveries matter archaeologically, and how they connect Egypt to broader Eurasian traditions of sacred intoxication and visionary initiation.
Drawing from Egyptology, ethnobotany, archaeology, comparative religion, and the work of scholars such as Albert Hofmann, Carl A. P. Ruck, and R. Gordon Wasson, this video examines whether ancient temples preserved hidden technologies of transcendence beneath symbolic mythology and ritual secrecy ...
