SELF-SUFFICIENCY IS NOT KINGDOM DNA

As I dwelt on some of David’s Psalms this morning, I was deeply touched.

I could almost see him.

In some Psalms, I could feel David kneeling with tears running down his face.

In others, I could picture him lying flat on the ground, speaking to God in exhaustion.

Some sounded like the cries of a man hiding in caves, trembling while enemies searched for him.

Others felt like the prayers of a man running for his life.

But one thing stood out to me above all else:

David never trusted in himself.

He never glorified his own strength.

He never spoke as though he was self-made.

He never acted as if he had control over tomorrow.

This was a king…
A warrior…
A giant killer…

Yet he constantly cried:

“Lord defend me.”
“Lord fight for me.”
“Lord preserve my life.”
“Lord strengthen me.”
“Lord do not leave me.”
“Lord hear my cry.”

David understood something many people today have forgotten:

Kingdom citizens were never designed to be self-sufficient.

Our Kingdom DNA was never built around independence from God.

We were created to live from Him,
through Him,
and because of Him.

A fish cannot survive outside water.

A branch cannot survive disconnected from the vine.

In the same way, a Kingdom citizen cannot truly thrive disconnected from God.

David understood this deeply.

He knew he did not own the breath in his lungs.

He knew he did not control the beating of his heart.

He knew he could not command the sun to rise.

He knew sleep itself was a gift from God.

He knew one sickness could humble the strongest man.

He knew one moment could change everything.

He knew one breath could be the last.

Child of God, what is your walk with God like?

Do you truly depend on Him?

Or have you slowly started depending on your salary?
Your intelligence?
Your connections?
Your education?
Your business?
Your title?
Your strength?
Your followers?
Your achievements?

Do you own the air in your nostrils?

Can you stop death when it comes?

Can you command your organs to function forever?

Can you guarantee your next heartbeat?

Can you hold back time?

Can you stop your hair from turning gray?

Can you keep yourself alive while you sleep?

We take so much for granted.

The ability to walk.
To speak.
To swallow food.
To see.
To hear.
To think clearly.
To wake up.
To breathe without struggling.
To hug our children.
To say “I am fine.”

David understood that every single thing was sustained by God.

That is why his Psalms were filled with surrender.

David was not a perfect man.

He was a broken man.
A dependent man.
A man who knew he desperately needed God.

And maybe that is why God called him:

“A man after My own heart.”

Because David never pretended to be strong without God.

Kingdom citizens are not called to operate from pride,
self-reliance,
or self-glory.

Our Kingdom DNA calls us to total dependence on our Father.

May we return to that place again.

The place where prayer is no longer a routine,
but a lifeline.

The place where surrender is no longer seen as weakness,
but true Kingdom strength.

The place where we stop acting independent of the God who gives us breath.

May we become people who lean on God for everything.

Not only in crisis.
Not only when life hurts.
But daily.

For every breath.
For wisdom.
For strength.
For protection.
For direction.
For peace.
For life itself.

Lord,
teach us total dependence on You again.

Today, we honor the fallen heroes of this nation.
Men and women who laid down their lives so others could live in freedom.
We remember their bravery. Their courage. Their sacrifice. Their willingness to stand in the gap when danger called.

Many of them were young.
Young men full of dreams. Young women full of life.
Yet they chose duty over comfort, sacrifice over safety, and honor over fear.
They became men of valor and women of dignity — souls who understood that some causes are greater than self.

Because of them, families sleep in peace.
Because of them, nations still stand.
Because of them, freedom still has a voice.

But today, Memorial Day is not only a day of remembrance.
It is also a day of reflection.

My dear sister… what will you be remembered for?
What values define your life when your name is mentioned?
What impact are you making in your home, your generation, your children, your community, and the world around you?

My dear brother… if your story ended today, what would remain after you?
Would people remember your kindness?
Your integrity?
Your faith?
Your love for God?
Your discipline?
Your sacrifice?
Your courage to stand for truth in a generation that bows to compromise?

God did not send you into this world to merely exist.
You were not created to live an ordinary, empty, distracted life.
You were born with purpose.
Born to leave footprints that time cannot erase.
Born to carry light in dark places.
Born to heal, to build, to protect, to serve, and to reveal the nature of Heaven on earth.

One day, every one of us will become a memory in someone’s story.
The question is: what kind of memory will you become?

May we live lives worthy of remembrance.
Lives marked by courage, honor, sacrifice, truth, faith, and love.
And may we never forget those who gave everything so others could have a future.

THE GREATEST TRAGEDY 👑

The greatest tragedy in life is not dying without money… not dying without recognition… not even dying without applause… The greatest tragedy is standing before eternity and realizing you spent your entire life succeeding… in things God never sent you to do. You built what looked impressive to men… but it was empty before heaven. You were busy… but not assigned. Celebrated… but not aligned. Successful… but not sent. And then you hear the silence of eternity— where titles don’t speak, achievements don’t echo, and only purpose remains.

Because purpose is not what you choose… it is what you were sent to fulfill. That is why said: “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me.” (John 4:34) In other words— “My sustenance… my drive… my reason for living… is not comfort, not success, not approval— but obedience.” He lived full… because He lived aligned.

So ask yourself today—deeply, honestly: What is feeding your life? Applause… or assignment? Ambition… or obedience? Because one day, everything will fall away— and only one thing will remain: Did you do the will of the One who sent you? This is your call to return. To lay down the noise. To walk away from empty success. To pick up divine purpose again. Because a life aligned with God may not always look loud… but it will never be empty. And in the end— that is the only life that truly counts.

What are you afraid of? Is it the sickness that keeps showing up like an uninvited guest… the kind that makes you wonder if your body is betraying you? Is it the quiet shame of defeat… the moments no one saw, but you felt deeply? Or is it the weight of that loss… the one that sits on your chest at night and makes it hard to breathe? That weight feels heavy because you keep looking at it, replaying it, carrying it like it is your identity.

But pause for a moment… just breathe. Sit down and look around you. There are still beautiful things happening—the breath in your lungs, the strength you didn’t know you still had, the fact that you are still here. Sometimes darkness feels powerful because it has your full attention, but the moment you shift your focus, even slightly, you begin to see that it was never as big as it felt.

Listen… this situation is not here to destroy you. It came like stones thrown at you—painful, unexpected, unfair. But you were never meant to be buried by those stones, you were meant to build with them. Every tear becomes a brick, every disappointment a layer, every setback a foundation. One day you will stand on what tried to break you and realize—this is not your downfall, this is the beginning of your rise. 👑🔥

- it wouldn’t be money…
- it wouldn’t be connections…
- it would be... Belief 100% in you

I would give you the unshakable belief
that you have what it takes to change your life.

Because the truth is—
- You are not stuck.
- You are not limited.
- You are not behind.

You carry Kingdom DNA. 👑

That means you carry:
- power…
- authority…
- divine potential.
- Your Heavenly Father's blood runs through your veins

You are not trying to become something—
you are awakening to who you already are.

You are one decision…
one mindset shift…
one bold step of faith…

The moment you believe
what God has already placed inside of you…
everything will begin to align.

- Doors will open.

Not because something changed around you but because something changed within you.

And I need you to hear this…

You have what it takes.
- You are capable.

- You are empowered.
