[Their answers to “Why do I teach?” and “What do I need?” reflect a relentless passion for their jobs, a desire for more autonomy and calls for more funding — not in their take-home pay but for their classrooms. Voting for the Dallas ISD TRE will help give students of color equal opportunity 11/01/2018

"Our November ballot gives us an opportunity to continue that fight by investing in Dallas ISD to make sure that all public school children in Dallas receive a better education. We recommend voters approve DISD’S tax ratification election 10/19/2018

"The district is moving in the right direction, but it can’t let up. It also can’t cut its way to success. To pay for programs that are working, it cut $60 million from the budget last year, including librarians and counselors.

Voters should approve the TRE to give the DISD a chance to continue its progress to becoming the kind of district students deserve and this city needs."
