Congratulations to our Teacher of the Month, Elana Lujan, and our Staff Member of the Month, Anna Rodriguez!

🎉 Ms. Lujan is a great example of someone being a leader without the title. She has allowed many teachers to come in and observe her teaching. She has had success with an RLA concept that district coaches/curriculum coordinators are going to implement district-wide. Overall, she is an influence outside of just her classroom.

🎉 Mrs. Rodriguez has been very flexible and assisted with both life skills classrooms as needed on multiple occasions. Always willing to assist without complaining or even asking questions; takes the initiative to make sure those classrooms are covered and all is taken care of.

In Fall 2027 we will be taking an educational trip to Washington, D.C., and your 6th grade student is invited! This trip is open to all of our 6th grade students and families at our elementary campuses.

We're hosting informational meetings at each campus covering the itinerary, dates, pricing, enrollment, and info on our travel partner, EF Explore America.

🎉 Maria Behrens is very specific and intentional in everything that she does. She took on a huge task and, in a short amount of time, rounded up students, prepared them for competition, and represented LSMC well in competition.

🎉 Stacy Renfroe is always willing to work with others to get tasks completed; when problems arise, she is present to assist and offer solutions.

🎉 Mrs. Armstead has a student-centered mindset—she keeps the focus on what helps this student learn best. She seeks to understand students’ strengths, challenges, and experiences, but believes that students can grow with the right supports in place.

🎉 Ms. Randle's responsiveness, clarity, and willingness to collaborate make a big difference for our staff and students who receive services from our Special Education department. We truly appreciate the support you provide and the positive impact you have on our campus despite all that comes with Sped.

🎉 Mrs. Griffin does a wonderful job finding ways to tie real-world connections to the lessons in her classroom; not only does she talk about the experiences, but she also finds ways to actually allow students to experience them so they can truly connect, even if it's giving up her personal time.

🎉 Mrs. Arroyo is always willing to help where needed, is very flexible, and goes above and beyond with Sunshine Committee activities to help contribute to the positivity of the campus culture.
