SMU's Master of Arts in Design and Innovation teaches Human-Centered Design to all students

Launched in 2015, the mission of the MADI program is to prepare mindful problem-solvers to take on systemic, meaningful challenges with creativity and confidence. MADI will provide students with an innovation framework based on human-centered design, a process which values solutions that balance human desirability, market viability, and technical feasibility.

MADI Design Studio for Social Impact took the classroom to the table with a dinner visit to Café Momentum!🍽️✨Our cohort had the opportunity to experience the space firsthand, learn more about Café Momentum’s mission, and see how design, community, and social impact come together in a meaningful way.

How is it almost been a month?! 👀
We’ve been settling into classes, meeting new people, and getting hands-on with human-centered design. From understanding users to rethinking the way we approach problems, Intro to Human-Centered Design has us asking one important question: Who are we designing for? 💡

And we’re just getting started!
