Texas Northern Model Railroad Club The non-profit Texas Northern Model Railroad Club is the largest HO scale model railroad club in DFW! We are a 501(c)(3) organization.

We’re an active, friendly, and fun group of model railroad enthusiasts who share a passion for model trains in both HO and N scale! We are a member of the North Texas Council of Model Railroad Clubs. We are an NMRA Affiliate Club. Our business meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Our membership is diverse and full of friendly people. There are members at all levels from beginners to experts. Members have unrestricted access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Club is located midway through the business park, on the left hand side entering from Plano.

80 coal hoppers are not an issue for these 4 BNFS GE ES44 by ScaleTrain.

Long trains are not an issue either at THE largest, permanent HO layout in North Texas at the Texas Northern Railroad.

Sadly, this year UP’s 4014 isn’t coming through North Texas as normal, but the East Coast and many other cities who do not get to see the mighty locomotive is having the opportunity.

Here is a look at some of the huge crowds enjoying the Worlds biggest Steam Locomotive, the 4014 Big Boy.

Even though it’s Saturday, a long consist pulling autos and boxcars full of goods needed across the layout.

Texas Northern Railroad congratulates Jake Lowe of Dallas, winner of our custom-built MKT Autoracks raffle at the Worlds Greatest Hobby show.

The Texas Northern will have a Raffle for a complete set (6) during March 28th & 29th at the World’s Greatest Hobby / Great Train Show at Market Hall in Dallas. Do not have to be present to win.

These auto racks were meticulously researched by MKT experts to ensure prototype accuracy. Each rack number has been carefully matched to the correct frame number for every car.
