The 30th Annual San Angelo Local Invitational Stock Show may not have started exactly as planned, but it truly showed the heart of our ag community and the resilience of our students.
Due to an unexpected misunderstanding, the judge we originally hired was unable to make it, and we found this out at show time. While this was not ideal, we were incredibly blessed by those who stepped up without hesitation. Zack Weishuhn graciously jumped in to judge the livestock portion of the show, and Bridget Scott made the drive from Ballinger to ensure our Rabbit Show went on as planned. Both did an outstanding job, and we are extremely thankful for their willingness to drop what they were doing to serve our kids and continue a great show.
This year’s 30th anniversary show was proudly dedicated to Parks Tucker, the man who devoted 39 years to teaching Agriculture and who started the San Angelo ISD Stock Show. Mr. Tucker was honored with a buckle, and moving forward, the Parks Tucker Award will be presented annually to a student who exemplifies hard work, dedication, and time invested in their project.
We had a tremendous amount of success throughout the show:

Taegan showed both lambs and fought hard for her buckle while maintaining her composure in the ring — well deserved!
We would also like to give a huge thank you to our Central FFA Officers for all of their hard work behind the scenes. From cleaning and maintaining the barn, running the snack bar, interviewing exhibitors, taking pictures, and helping with clean-up, they truly stepped up and represented our program with pride. Thank you all so much — I couldn’t have done it without y’all!
A special thank you to Ashley Kellermiere for helping wherever needed, and to everyone who stepped up when everything hit the fan. Your willingness to help did not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for each of you.
We would also like to sincerely thank our generous sponsors who help make this show possible year after year:
• Chris & Brittany Torres
• Dr. Catie Morris, DVM – Prickly Pear Veterinary Hospital
• Lindsey & Mason McGuire
• Lake View FFA
• Raelye & Joe Self – Automatic Fire Protection

Because of the teamwork and support from our judges, families, sponsors, officers, advisors, and students, overall we had a very successful show. Thank you all for helping continue this 30-year tradition and for making this year one to remember. 🐐🐖🐑🐇🏆
