Fun times at camp this week with a spectacular new set of novices!

Congrats to camp tournament semifinalists - Sarah and Colin, and finalists Ohen and Kaitlyn. Close debate in finals, but Kaitlyn pulls off the win!

2019-2020 is going to be a great year!

Rene Otero is the NSDA NATIONAL CHAMPION in International Extemp!!! He also won the President's Bowl for winning the final round in addition to the overall cumulative score!

Thank you to everyone who supported and encouraged us, sent texts, listened to speeches, met him for late tests/quizzes. Thanks to Mr. Garcia, our fantastic APs, Shirley Bachus, our phenomenal staff and parents, the PFISD School board and Dr. Killian. It takes a village!

Kids can soar when they have the support network that gives them the freedom to achieve their goals!

Day 3!!

To the victors go the spoils! WSD team ends in Trips and Syd finishes her speech & debate career strong.

Trey & Dylan advance to Round 9 tomorrow morning and Rene is in Top 30 going into Round 9/10.

Lots of laughs and fun at dinner. Love these kids so much.

HHS ended our UIL Season today.

2 UIL State Silver medalists (Lauren and Rene) which combined with prior Gold and Silver in CX (Alejandro, Mahnoor, Trey, Dylan) and Rene's 4th in Congress =

6A UIL STATE CHAMPION SPEECH TEAM!

Also 4th Place Overall Academic Sweeps (missed 3rd by 2 points, 2nd by 6 and 1st by 13.5) - the best EVER for HHS!

These kids have had such an amazing four years and this is just some icing on the cake. We are excited for our final remaining tournament at NSDA Nationals in two weeks!

Extremely proud to have Rene Otero representing Hendrickson as one of only SIX finalists for the NSDA National Student of the Year!
