This week we lost one of our founding members of the alliance.

Marge Nykaza was a trailblazer of the movement and a bright indelible light in our midst. She was a champion for thousands of people. She cared for them with her beaming smile, infectious energy and zest, and hope filled melodies. She helped people to heal.

For decades, Marge brought music to shelters in Chicago and for over 20 years she founded and led Harmony, Hope & Healing an organization that transforms lives through the power of music.

Marge said, “Live your life with love in your heart and in all you do, and all will be well.”

We will pick up the mantle and continue to do this much needed labor of love in your memory! It was an honor to know you, Marge.

With love and gratitude,

The National Alliance for Music in Vulnerable Communities

☘️Did you know... NAMVC has an Irish cousin?☘️

Meet the The High Hopes Choir in Dublin, Ireland.
Pictured below is our president, Dónal from The Atlanta Homeward Choir who was lucky to meet and work with the HHC during an educational exchange in Ireland in 2018. Everyone sang their hearts out together and had a great time. We can't wait to welcome them on this side of the Atlantic someday. We wish them and all of you a very happy St. Patricks Days today!

Learn more about this wonderful group and the fantastic work they do!
