With the threat of large hail and a tornado watch several local schools are cancelling activities and send people home. We're going to play it safe and do the same tonight (Tues, 4/28).

Apologies for the late notice. We're keeping an eye on it and the forecast is getting worse, so stay safe out there!

DISD shut down for Tues 1/27, so we will be cancelling classes another day as well.

Not sure what it looks like in Dallas, hopefully everyone is ok. It is very icy north of Frisco...

Hi all,

Dallas ISD and several other districts are already cancelling classes for Mon. We are going to go ahead and do the same until roads are safer for driving.

We'll keep an eye on Tues and send out a message if this extends.

Hi all,

In anticipation of incoming icy weather this weekend, we are going to go ahead and cancel classes for this Friday, 1/23 and Sat 1/24.

It is looking like this may be pretty rough. We will be keeping an eye on things as roads may still be unsafe on Monday so we will update as needed.

Hope everyone is having a great holiday!!!

Today's 5:30pm is the last open youth class of 2025.

The last adult class of the year will be tomorrow, Tues (12/30) from 7:00-8:30pm. It will be led jointly by both karate and aiki teachers. Don't worry if you can't take a fall, they won't throw you!

Classes will be cancelled on New Year's Eve (Weds, 12/31) and this upcoming Sat (1/3)

The dojo will be opened for open mat on Thurs (1/1) 6:00-7:30pm and Fri (1/2) 6:00-7:30pm.

The official first classes of the year will Mon (1/5). Youth class @ 5:30pm and adult @ 6:30pm led by Donna Sensei. Her special classes are like a rite of passage at the dojo!

These are always special classes so try to make them if you can!

Just a heads up that we will be closed certain days over the holidays as members and instructors are spending time with families or traveling.

Here are the cancelled dates and 1 time change:

Weds, Dec 24- No classes
Thurs, Dec 25- No classes

Weds, Dec 31- No classes
Thurs, Jan 1- unofficial open mat, 6:00-7:30pm

Sat, Jan 3- No classes

Our final open youth class of 2025 will be Mon, Dec 29

Our final adult class of 2025 will be Tues, Dec 30.

Our first youth/adult class of 2026 will be Mon, Jan 5.

It's a dojo tradition that the first and final classes of the year are special. We'll send out a reminder with details as we get closer to these dates.
