EGP is a PreK through 8th grade free public charter school and an International Baccalaureate Candidate School.

We believe that education grows best at the local level, with families and educators working together. Our roots in East Dallas go back 20 years with a mission to serve the under-served living in the shadow of downtown Dallas. What is now the East Grand Preparatory school sprang to life in 2006. In Fall 2014, we located to our exciting, expansive new campus on East Grand Avenue, where we're now ab

le to accommodate more scholars in a richer learning environment than before. Our historic building, a former church, significantly increases our space, gives us great new resources, and opens up exciting new possibilities. We have added new grade levels in the past school years and plan on continuing our growth in years to come -- while never losing our sense of personal responsibility to each and every student.

This week, our teachers and staff at Buckner Preparatory, East Grand Preparatory, and East Grand Community Campus completed their Brighter Bites orientation, and we couldn't be more excited to bring this incredible program to our families!

Brighter Bites helps make fresh fruits and vegetables, nutrition education, and healthy habits more accessible for our school communities. We can't wait to kick off the program and support our students and families throughout the school year. 🥕🍎💙💛
