This spring, every class at da Vinci had the opportunity to explore the magical life cycle of a butterfly! Each classroom cared for their very own caterpillars, watched them transform into chrysalises, and patiently observed the incredible process of metamorphosis before releasing the butterflies. A springtime memory our students will never forget!

One of our favorite da Vinci traditions is the wedding of Q and U! These two letters are a perfect pair, teaming up in words like queen, quiet, and quick. Our little learners loved celebrating this phonics fairytale while building early literacy skills in the sweetest way.

Ms. Kara’s Kinder crew turned storytime into showtime! Inspired by Grumpy Monkey, these little performers created their own version of the tale, bringing big emotions, creativity, and confidence to the stage. From practicing their lines to performing in front of the whole school and their families, the dedication and effort truly shined through.

We loved welcoming back our da Vinci School alumni who are graduating high school this year! They walked the halls where it all began, reconnected with staff, and shared their exciting next steps.
In the middle of their busy schedules, they made time to come back—and we’re so glad they did. We’re so proud of all they’ve accomplished! Congratulations!

We loved hosting Karen Weiss for a magical reading of “Firefly Lullaby!” As we listened to the sounds of birds, frogs, and crickets, our students explored how nature creates its own nighttime symphony, encouraging observation, listening skills, and curiosity about the world around them.

The families in Ms. LeiAnna’s class were invited in to experience all things spring, where students proudly shared their learning and discoveries. From exploring the life cycles of plants and birds to getting their hands dirty repotting plants, every moment was rooted in curiosity and growth. Along the way, they’ve been planting kindness all year, proving that with a little care, everything has the ability to grow and flourish.

Ms. Delaney’s classroom took a step back in time as families joined her classroom to experience all things dinosaurs! Her young scientists proudly showed off their erupting volcanoes, exploring chemical reactions mixing baking soda and vinegar to create bubbling “lava.” They even pretended to be paleontologists, carefully uncovering fossils to finish off their dino-mite display!
