Our Lower Elementary students recently completed their Ratha Yatra Cart Unit—an interdisciplinary project combining Bhakti studies, science, math, social studies, and language arts.

Students explored the cultural heritage of Jagannatha Puri, studied simple machines and structural design, measured wheel diameter and radius using real-world geometry, and worked together to build functional carts for Festival of Joy.

From wheel alignment to canopy construction, every detail required teamwork, problem-solving, and initiative.

This is what meaningful hands-on learning looks like—students connecting knowledge across subjects while building something with purpose.

Preparing for Nṛsiṁha Caturdaśī through art, focus, and devotion.

At TKG Academy, even a drawing assignment becomes meaningful when learning is connected to culture and spiritual identity.

Not just a science fair… 👀

At our annual STEAM Expo (3/29), students from Lower Elementary through Middle School showcased their work across
Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics — alongside science projects created just for the event.

So much creativity and curiosity in one space 💛

Our Early Childhood students enjoyed a joyful visit to Texas Discovery Gardens.

At TKG Academy, learning goes beyond the classroom. Through experiences like this, our students explore the natural world, strengthen friendships, and develop curiosity that supports both academic growth and strong character.

We love seeing these little explorers discover the world around them.

At TKG Academy’s early Gaura Purnima celebration, our early childhood students shared this song they learned about Lord Chaitanya.

Have you heard this song before?

As Gaura Purnima approaches, our Lower Elementary students have been immersed in the 9 islands of Sri Navadvipa-dhama — learning the unique pastimes of each.

Then came the fun Q&A… and they showed up ready. 🌕✨

Our 3rd–8th graders visited White Rock Lake, home to one of the few nesting pairs of bald eagles in the area — Nick and Nora.

Most of the students didn’t believe an eagle was actually there. It was tucked deep in the nest, guarding soon-to-hatch eggs while its partner hunted.

We waited.
We scanned the trees.
We mistook hawks and vultures for eagles.

And just as we were about to leave… we saw it.

A lesson in patience.
A lesson in observation.
A reminder that some things are only visible if you slow down long enough to notice.

🗣️ Discourse. Dialogue. Diatribe. Debate.

Our middle school students compared different methods of communication and explored when each one is appropriate.

In science, we emphasize supporting claims with evidence — especially in debate. But is debate always the right approach?

Students discussed the purpose of debate and the common pitfalls of argumentation (name-calling, ad hominem attacks, emotional escalation).

We’re not just teaching content — we’re shaping thoughtful communicators. 💬✨

Hands-on science, outdoor exploration, room to move, build, question, and wonder.

No desks. No pressure. Just curiosity doing its thing.

This is learning, too.

🌿 Exploring plants across climates.

On colder garden days, students study how plants grow in different environments around the world — from dry deserts to tropical regions — and how climate shapes what can thrive in each place.

🌎Drawing and discussion help them make connections between geography, science, and the natural world.

🌱 In January, middle school students begin seed starting.
They learn how growth actually works — through patience, care, and attention to the process long before spring arrives.

Hands in the soil.
Learning that unfolds over time.
