SPX Tigers, we can't wait to see you next week for the first day of school! Don't forget, our first day is Tuesday, August 11, and it is a half day.

Before that, we'll see you at the Back to School Bash and Meet the Teacher night on Friday, Aug. 7. Parents, you can connect with teachers, clubs, organizations, and the Spirit Store will be open. Students, take this chance to have some fun on campus with bounce houses and games! The Men's Club will be providing dinner.

Antes de eso, los esperamos en la Fiesta de Regreso a Clases y la Noche de Conocer a los Maestros el viernes 7 de agosto. The SPX School Campus is ready for students! We were blessed with an amazing turnout for our Junior High Service Day - over 75 students and families helped us beautify the campus and get organized! Then the Men's Club came out and helped us paint our playground fence as well as do a few other projects. Finally, a big thanks to parishioners and parent John Farrell and Wes Duke for installing new field lights, banners, and painting the light poles. We can't wait for everyone to see all the fantastic changes on campus! Parents, see you Friday night at Back to School night!

Tuvimos la gran suerte de contar con una increíble participación en nuestro Día de Servicio para la escuela secundaria: ¡más de 75 estudiantes y familias nos ayudaron a embellecer el campus y a organizarlo! Luego, el Club de Hombres vino y nos ayudó a pintar la cerca del patio de recreo, además de realizar otros proyectos. SPX Families - we're excited to welcome our school families back for our Back-to-School Bash and Meet the Teacher Night on Friday August 7 from 4pm-7pm.

Join us in the school gym from 4:00–6:00 p.m. for hamburgers and hot dogs courtesy of the Men’s Club. The PTO will also be providing bounce houses and music for families to enjoy.

Representatives from several school programs and organizations will be available, including the PTO, After-School Care, extracurricular activities, and more. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with friends, meet other school families, and learn about the many ways students and parents can get involved during the upcoming school year.

At 6:00 p.m., the Parent Meeting and Meet the Teacher portion of the evening will begin.

All activities and the meeting will be located in the school gym. Parking will be available on the far side of the school building near the field.

We look forward to seeing everyone and kicking off another great school year together!



SPX Families - estamos emocionados de dar la bienvenida a nuestras familias escolares para nuestra fiesta de regreso a la escuela y conocer la Noche del Maestro el viernes 7 de agosto de 4pm a 7pm.

Únase a nosotros en el gimnasio de la escuela de 4:00 a 6:00 p.m. para hamburguesas y perritos calientes cortesía del Club de Hombres. La PTO también proporcionará casas de rebote y música para que las familias disfruten.

We are looking for volunteers to help us prepare our campus for the start of another wonderful school year! We invite Junior High students in 6th-8th Grade as well as high school students, and any parents who are available to join us for a campus work day on: Wednesday, July 22, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Volunteers will help our maintenance staff with a variety of projects around campus as we prepare for the new school year. This is a wonderful opportunity for junior high students to begin earning their required service hours, for high school students to earn volunteer service hours, and for incoming 6th grade students to serve alongside their families. Parents are encouraged to join us as well, however, students may also be dropped off on campus, and we would love to welcome any SPX alumni now in high school who are looking to earn volunteer or service hours.

Thank you to all the parents, alumni, students, and parishioners who came out on Sunday to help us take everything off the walls of the school. The hallways are getting a fresh coat of paint, and we are so grateful to our community for making this an easy process for the painters!

We can't wait to see the smiling Tiger faces in a month with gleaming new hallways!
