Last week, before our students returned for the first day of school, our faculty and staff came together to assemble care kits for the clergy, faculty, and staff of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and School in Kerrville.

This project was part of our continued effort to support the St. Peter’s & Kerrville community as it recovers from devastating flooding over the past two summers. Thank you to Dr. May for leading this meaningful community effort and always helping us put our mission of serving with compassion into action.

📖 The Summer 2026 Edition of Good News Magazine hit homes last month and is now available to read digitally, too! ✨

Our newest issue looks back on an incredible 2025-26 school year and the people, milestones and moments that made it so special. From the completion and opening of Hopkins Gymnasium to inspiring Chapel Talks, the magazine highlights our Class of 2026 graduates and their next chapters, Middle School award recipients and Good Shepherd Scholars, spring Classroom of the Earth adventures and highlights from around campus.

The issue also takes a closer look at our vision for GSES graduates to leave us “equipped and eager to make a meaningful impact on the world around them.”

We’re thrilled to have our Cougars back to campus tomorrow! Before they return, we wanted to share an uplifting message from New York Times bestselling author Kristy Woodson Harvey. As we get ready to welcome our Cougars back to campus on Wednesday, we’re excited to share an encouraging message from George Lynch, member of the 1993 NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship team at the University of North Carolina and 12-year NBA veteran.

George challenges us to give our best each day, push ourselves in the classroom, support one another and believe in what we can accomplish.

We’re grateful to begin the 2026-27 school year with this powerful reminder that the choices we make today can help shape who we become tomorrow.
