Congratulations to Mr. Joel on receiving his award from MISD for the Song Creation Program!

Through this incredible program, students learn how to build a song from the ground up using melody, harmony, rhythm, and lyrics. Students take full creative ownership of the process — from creating the drum beat to writing and performing their own lyrics.

A huge thank you as well to United Way of Metropolitan Dallas for their generous grant support, which has allowed this program to continue growing and flourishing for our students!
