Why Is This Initiative Necessary?
1) No Creativity, No Innovation: Government funding has been drastically reduced for arts programs. Many agree that our national economic progression will gradually suffer over time because we are not replenishing the educational requirements needed to compete on a global scale. Students have little understanding on the importance of creative exercise because they lack exposure to it. Creative thinking is necessary for the development of any field.
2) Information Without Retention: Due to their lack of experience, many youngsters do not understand where sound originates. Many students think that music comes from technological devices such as smartphones, never realizing the origination and the impact that music can have in their lives. Students lack the intangible benefits of music and how it can help them personally and professionally by using music’s repetition as a form of discipline.
