As Teacher Appreciation Week ends, I want to simply say thank you to the educators who continue showing up for students every single day.

The classroom environment has changed significantly over the years. Teachers today are balancing instruction, student engagement, emotional support, communication with families, policy expectations, and workforce preparation — all while continuing to inspire learning.

This week I revisited a paper I authored several years ago, *Diversity in the Classroom: Impact on Education*, and began updating it to reflect today’s realities surrounding inclusion, leadership, and educational governance.

No matter how much education evolves, one thing remains true:
Students thrive when leadership, respect, communication, and consistency are present.

Thank you to all educators, counselors, paraprofessionals, administrators, substitute teachers, and support staff for the work you continue to do.

Have a wonderful weekend.

At Parrish Business Services, we believe leadership is more than position—it is responsibility.

This month, we are emphasizing a renewed focus on alignment across the organizations we serve.

Our work continues to center on three critical areas:

🔹 Governance
🔹 Mental Wellbeing
🔹 Sustainability

These are not trends.
They are the foundation of strong, resilient, and audit-ready organizations.

With decades of executive leadership experience behind our advisory work—including public sector financial oversight and compliance leadership—our approach remains clear:

Align strategy.
Strengthen compliance.
Support leadership.

Because when organizations are aligned, they are not only more effective—
they are better positioned to protect people, manage risk, and sustain long-term impact.

May is a time for clarity, structure, and intentional leadership.

Governance. Alignment. Sustainability.

Calling all North Texas Graphic Designers 📣

I’m looking to connect with talented designers in the Dallas–Fort Worth area who are available for upcoming projects.

With so much conversation around AI-generated graphics, I want to intentionally support human-created design — real creativity, real perspective, real impact.

If you’re available, drop:
✔ Your name
✔ Your specialty
✔ Your portfolio

And feel free to tag a designer who should be seen.

Let’s support local talent right here in North Texas.

Monday isn’t just the start of a week; it’s the start of a new opportunity to align your actions with your vision. 💃✨

As I look at the calendar for the rest of April, I’m focused on one thing: Momentum.

In business operations, momentum isn't just about moving fast—it's about moving with the right Integrated Governance in place so you don't lose your footing. That’s the core of my G.A.S. FRAMEWORK™. We diagnose the gaps, accelerate the systems, and sustain the culture.

My goal this week is to help more organizations find their "human" center. Whether you’re a small business or a major firm, your people are the engine, but your governance is the steering wheel.

Question for my fellow leaders today: What is one task you’ve been putting off that would actually move the needle for your team’s culture? Let’s tackle it together. 🚀

Spring cleaning for your business starts here. 🌸📑
Don’t let outdated policies clutter your growth. This week, I’m talking about the importance of auditing your employee handbooks and HR procedures for Q2.
Small gaps in your documentation can lead to big headaches down the road. Stay proactive, stay compliant, and stay focused on your mission.
✨ Pro-Tip: Check your “Work from Home” or “Social Media” policies first—those are usually the ones that need the most frequent dusting!
DM me if you’re ready to schedule a handbook refresh. 📲

Good morning.

March is Women’s History Month.

The 2026 theme is Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.

But here’s what leadership has taught me:

Women give to gain.
We give clarity to gain alignment.
We give accountability to gain trust.
We give courage to gain sustainable systems.

Change doesn’t just happen.
It’s led.

As we close out Black History Month, we reflect on the giants whose shoulders we stand upon—leaders like Mary McLeod Bethune, who proved that education is the most powerful tool for liberation and sustainability. 🕯️✨

We don't leave this history behind; we carry its lessons into Women’s History Month.

This year’s theme, “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future,” is a direct continuation of the legacy built by Black women who have been the architects of community and change for generations.

🕊️ Honoring the Past: By remembering the struggle and the triumph.
🚀 Leading the Future: By investing in the girls and women who are solving today’s challenges through education and innovation.

Join us this March as we celebrate the women who are not just witnessing history—they are building a world that lasts.
