Dear Oakdale Families,

What a wonderful first week of school! Thank you for your partnership, collaboration, patience, and support in helping us begin the year so successfully.

Our students have spent the week learning new routines, building relationships, reconnecting with friends, and settling into their classrooms. It has been a joy to see their smiles, excitement, curiosity, and growing confidence throughout the building. The positive energy at Oakdale has been incredible!

A successful start to the school year is truly a team effort. Thank you for preparing your children each morning, encouraging them through the transition back to school, communicating with our staff, and trusting us with their care and education. We also appreciate your flexibility and patience as everyone becomes familiar with arrival, dismissal, transportation, and other school routines.

Our staff has worked tremendously hard to create safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environments where every child feels known, valued, and supported. We are proud of the way our students and staff have come together to build such a caring school community.

We know that the strongest outcomes for students happen when families and schools work together. We are grateful to have you as our partners and look forward to continuing that collaboration throughout the year.

Please take some time this weekend to celebrate your child for completing a fantastic first week—and hopefully enjoy a little rest, too!

Thank you for helping our Oakdale Eagles start the year soaring. We are excited for all that lies ahead!

With gratitude,

Liz Postlewait
