"My call is to obedience. Suffering is expected; His glory is my reward."
-Karen Watson, martyr
Dear DSS Enthusiasts:
I am exceedingly pleased to say that Dr. Frank Grabowski will be presenting a paper on Anselm’s ontological argument tonight at the DSS.
Dr. Grabowski is a rigorous analytic philosopher and Plato scholar (whose dissertation was entitled Why Plato is not a Platonist). He has published a book on Continuum Press, entitled Plato, Metaphysics and the Forms (2008). Dr. Grabowksi’s recent research has focused on interpreting Plato’s Timaeus – and he is a member of both the Society of Ancient Greek Philosophy and the American Philosophical Association. He did his Ph.D. work at Wayne State University in Detroit, and he now teaches at Rodgers State University in Oklahoma where he has taught courses such as Logic, Ancient Philosophy, Medieval Philosophy, a Seminar on Plato’s Symposium, Philosophy of Horror, Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, and Analytic Philosophy.
We will begin promptly at 7:30 – so be there early.
Best Regards,
Dr. Lee
