When Buddy Ashe began at Gaston College in 1964, he couldn't have imagined the lasting impact it would have on him and his family. As the college's first student body president (1965-1966), he laid the foundation, and the legacy continued when his wife and daughter followed in his footsteps, each beginning their own paths at Gaston College.

**UPDATE: Duke Energy will not be able to restore power at the Dallas campus until later today, so this campus will be closed for the remainder of Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

DELAYED OPENING:
Due to a power outage, Gaston's DALLAS CAMPUS ONLY will operate on a delayed schedule on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and will open at noon. An update will be posted here if restoration is delayed.
