That’s a wrap on Oak Hill Academy’s 2025-2026 school year! Kindergarten graduation and end-of-year awards were the exclamation mark on a fabulous school year of learning, growth and development.

It was a FANTASTIC Field Day on the Oak Hill Academy campus today! Elementary students enjoyed relay races, water stations, collaborative games, face painting, and much more.

The month of May is designated as National Speech-Language-Hearing Month to raise awareness about communication disorders and the role speech-language pathologists (SLPs) play in providing life-altering treatment.

For nearly 40 years, Oak Hill Academy has provided expert education and therapy to improve students’ articulation and phonological skills, receptive and expressive language, social skills, and executive functioning.

From preschool through high school, Oak Hill has 13 SLPs on staff to meet our students’ needs.

It’s beginning to look a lot like summer ... Yesterday, Oak Hill Academy preschoolers dipped their toes into summer fun at the annual preschool Splash Day! 😎

Each year, Oak Hill Academy presents the Integrity Award to select middle and high school students who live out the characteristics of a person of integrity. Leslie Mendenhall, a beloved longtime teacher at Oak Hill Academy who retired in 2023, started this award presentation many years ago, and the tradition continues today.

Please join us in congratulating Sawyer in high school and Guadalupe and Caroline in middle school for being exceptionally respectful, kind, helpful, hardworking, and humble!

Elementary student learning took flight (literally!) on the Oak Hill Academy campus today. Second through fifth graders enjoyed an on-campus field trip with the Frontiers of Flight Museum, where they learned about the parts of a plane and aerodynamics.✈️

Then, students put their learning into action by testing paper airplanes and straw gliders on the playground!

Oak Hill Academy students, staff and senior families tipped their hats to the graduating seniors this morning at the Hats Off Parade. This beloved annual school tradition kicks off graduation week for the senior class.

Afterward, the middle school held a bake sale, and the OHA community enjoyed socializing in the Learning Garden.

Preschoolers learned about life cycles recently by studying the metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly. The students practiced using descriptive words to explain how the caterpillars and butterflies looked and what they saw throughout the weeks-long process.

The fun ended with an exciting butterfly release!

Today is National School Nurse Day. Special thanks to Oak Hill Academy’s own Nurse Chanel Bensinger, RN, for her work to keep our students and staff healthy and safe.

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and Oak Hill Academy teachers are feeling the love on campus! Today, the OHA Parents Club sponsored a coffee cart on site, and Central Market provided a delicious breakfast.

Teachers and staff were perfectly fueled for a great day at school!
