Furthermore, we believe in giving back to SMU’s Cox School of Business and continuing to honor those who serve by assisting local veteran programs.

We are a student association of veterans and supporters of veterans, committed to assisting each other in the transition from the military into a successful career in the private sector. We are dedicated to benefiting veterans and their families, providing networking opportunities for current Cox students and alumni, and to increasing veteran enrollment in the Cox School of Business.

DALLAS, TX--SMU Cox Veterans in Business Club participated in the SMU Veterans Day luncheon with Faculty, Staff, and students Friday, November 11th in the Mack Ballroom, Umphrey Lee Center. The event featured a live band, USO presentation and a pinning ceremony for new SMU community veterans.

DALLAS, TX-- Members of the SMU Cox Veterans in Business Club enjoyed an intimate lunch with CEO, The Caine Group and Air National Guard Brigadier General John Caine and CEO, Mend, U.S. Navy Veteran Jonathan Clarke. The special guests offered advice on military to civilian transition, the importance of relationships and networking, and the importance of assembling the right team from the start.

VIB @ Carry the Load 06/01/2016

Memorial Day was a day of fun and remembrance for VIB members, fellow classmates, friends, and family out at Reverchon Park and along the Katy Trail. From the 29th through the 30th, VIB crushed some miles, beers, and donuts at the annual Carry the Load event. Big thanks to all of the folks that came out. Thanks for setting up the VIB tent and for repping the team at the start AND finish Brent Schiffer, Marc Orgass, and Justin Stone. Davie Mason-thanks for bringing out your son, Ben. Thanks to Ashleigh Trent and Kelsey Robertson for bringing much need food and beverages. Thanks to significant others of Michelle Mason and Katie Nueberger for coming out. Special shout out to our MBA classmates that came out to show support: Josh Materne, Justin Sieker, Carter Crews, Blaire Metcalfe (and Garrett Merket), and Vu Ngoc Linh Phuong. Huuggggeee shout-out thanks to Dave Trent for putting the team together and for weathering the storm as you camped out so that VIB could hold down the most premium spot at the park.

Overall, we had a blast and we're looking forward to bringing out a bigger team to Carry the Load next year!
