Marsh Preparatory Academy provides a safe and secure learning environment in which students gain the behavioral and academic skills to become successful. The school’s rigorous curriculum prepares students for high school, and its character-building and leadership programs encourage them to become productive members of their community. Marsh Prep’s award-winning Leadership Cadet Corps encourages st
udents to stay in school and learn self-discipline, good citizenship, and leadership. The program, which has more than 700 students enrolled, won the 2007, 2008, and 2013 national drill competitions and placed second in 2009. In addition, the school’s math team competes in local, regional, and state math contests. Through business and community partnerships, students are given additional learning opportunities. These partners enhance, enrich, support, encourage, and offer a unique variety of talents and expertise to students. Parents are valued partners and are encouraged to participate in school activities. An active PTA, Dad’s Club, and Site-Based Decision Making committee keep parents involved with their children at the school and enable them to share in the school’s planning and decision making to improve the academic performance of all students.
