I used to wonder why I’ve always been drawn to teaching productivity strategies.
Why I light up when I talk about them.

The truth is, it goes back to where I came from.

I grew up in the West Dallas projects. My childhood was safe and happy, but like most families in our neighborhood, we lived in survival mode. My mom gave me stability, but she couldn’t show me the roadmap to the life I dreamed of.

By the grace of God, I stumbled across goal setting in high school and I was hooked. That was 1990. From there, I started experimenting with habits and routines, teaching myself through trial and error.

Later, I studied human behavior, success, and leadership. I earned degrees in sociology, business, and eventually an MBA. Those lessons shaped the way I approach every challenge today.

Now I get to operate at the intersection of it all. I help clients cut through overwhelm, rebuild structure, and finally create businesses that support their lifestyle goals.

Because you can do it all. You just need balance, structure, and a plan.

And that’s what Bossy & Balanced is all about.
