Bridge the Gap: Making Chamber Music Fun

Bridge the Gap Chamber Players makes music more accessible through performances of a diverse array of genres in non-traditional venues and through education initiatives in the Dallas community.

Mockingbird Station partners with Bridge the Gap Chamber Players and the University Crossing Public Improvement District to bring music back to the station for its series “Music on Mockingbird.” Bridge the Gap brings free musical performances to the open-air amphitheater outside the Angelika Film Center over the next few months. The group consists of classically trained musicians from Southern Methodist University (SMU), such as string quartets, pianists, guitarists, percussionists, and singers. Grab your friends and family and head over to the station for these one-of-a-kind musical experiences.

Both Mockingbird Station and Bridge the Gap share the same passion of wanting to bring music to patrons as they shop and dine around the shopping center. “Music on Mockingbird” is Bridge the Gap’s most popular and beneficial program, and the station is thrilled to be bringing the series back, while also helping to make music of all kinds accessible to Dallasites.

Kick-off your weekend with one of these free live performances, each starting at 11 a.m., on the following Saturdays starting on September 10th through December 10th, 2022.
