It is with great sadness that we write to inform you that Dr. Nancy Ann Campbell passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022. Dr. Campbell served SMU for over 15 years beginning in September 1993. She taught in Dedman College of Humanities & Sciences as Visiting Lecturer in the Departments of Sociology and Anthropology from 1993-1997 and as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology from 2011 until her retirement in May 2022. Following retirement, she returned as adjunct faculty from August through November 2022 in the Graduate Liberal Studies Department. There will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, TX 75013. We send our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Campbell.
