The rise of covid cases in Dallas County, along with the Delta variant transmission has caused Dallas ISD to reassess its mask requirement.

§ Effective Tuesday, Aug. 10, all staff, students, and visitors are temporarily required to wear a mask when they are on district property.

§ While an exact timeframe has not been determined, we will continue to monitor the cases in consultation with the Dallas County Health and Human Services.

§ Understandably, this may cause concern to some. We will continue our safety protocols:

o Social distancing

o Sanitizing

o Contact tracing

o Families should keep sick and exposed students at home
