As the saying goes, everything’s bigger in Texas — it just so happens that applies to ancient marine lizards, too.
On Thursday, researchers at the American Museum of Natural History, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and Southern Methodist University announced they have identified a school-bus-sized lizard that once prowled the seas above North Texas. The research team detailed its findings in a study published in the Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History.

Before former federal judge Kevin Sharp flew from San Diego to Dallas to attend Chris Young’s college graduation, he sentenced Young to life in prison without the possibility of parole — two times over.
On its face, Saturday was a celebration of the early mornings and late nights Young spent earning his degree in economics and public policy, the kind of credibility he knew only a diploma could provide.
At its best, it was a chance to mark Young’s liberation, a milestone made possible by the courage it requires to not only admit to ones mistakes, but to believe it’s never too late to try and make it right. https://bit.ly/4wAerOT https://bit.ly/4wAerOT
