1. You DON’T need a better idea. This is a myth!

Let’s just take this myth out of the equation right now.

You think “I need to launch SOMETHING SO GREAT THE ENTIRE WORLD WILL NOTICE!”

It’s a MYTH, so just stop.

2. There is no such thing as a million dollar idea - it’s the person (YOU) the creator that can turn an idea into a million dollar business.

Take Elon Musk for example - the idea of an electric car has been around since the 1830s.

When you first heard about Tesla cars, we bet you didn’t take it seriously. Wall Street didn’t!

3. SHUT OUT OTHER PEOPLE’S OPINIONS

Stick to the plan and work, hard.

Moral of our soapbox moment for the day…

It’s useless to chase the next big idea because you already have a great one.

Why does SELF-SABOTAGE become the archenemy for entrepreneurs?

Here’s the reason behind the classic catch-22 and why do we take the bait?

The concept of getting a business off the ground is a common term when planning your big dream.

How often do you catch yourself completely elated thinking about the ”ONE DAY when my company is so SUCCESSFUL I will own (blank)”?

My analogy is straightforward.

Starting a business is just like starting a new relationship and it’s AMAZING.

It’s fun, you laugh at your phone, you can’t wait to see them, there’s nothing wrong in the entire world…it’s filled with possibilities and dreams of beach life.

Right?

Same concept with a new business.

During this first step phase, a new business is fun, filled with dreams, no stress and no fear.

Sound familiar?

However, the same is true in dating and building a business.

There is a day, that you have to DECIDE…am I going to commit to this or not?

That’s the next step!

To take the next step in a new business, we have to be conscious of our ability to self sabotage.

There’s two little words that make us all cringe when the advice is thrown at us, yet here we are…

An unstoppable statement is crucial for every person because it’s a way to reframe your mindset when obstacles try to slow you down and get the best of you.

My unstoppable statement reminds me of why I’m doing what I do with my business in my effort to make a positive impact on other people’s lives.

This is my unstoppable statement:

I’m UNSTOPPABLE because I’ve been given another day to live my life with unwavering purpose.

I have people who truly love me and support me in my journey. With them, by my side, I can accomplish ANYTHING.

I believe every day presents a perfect opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. And I’m committed to doing just that, no matter what challenges come my way.

I know I’m not perfect, but I’ve come to embrace my imperfections. My scars make me who I am and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m PERFECTLY IMPERFECT and that’s okay.

Whatever I do, I trust that it will be the right decision for me right now.

I’m on an incredible journey, and I’m UNSTOPPABLE!

A little behind the scenes info about Grit & King. We are building our team a little differently than a traditional company.

The G&K Collective Team has been built on strength of each individual and automation of modern technologies.

We even have our own personal Business Advisor that meets with us several times a week. He helps us gain a new perspective on projects and looks at our ideas with the objective of giving us a realistic look at what challenges we could potentially face.

This was important to us to build an ethical business that is ready for the creator economy.

A few weeks ago, he gave us a homework assignment to write our own personal “I AM UNSTOPPABLE” statement.

Since writing my own statement, I have found myself thinking about it and reading it when I feel blocked.

I thought I would share it, I would encourage anyone starting a business or trying to create change in this world to have an “I AM UNSTOPPABLE” statement ready for the challenging days.

Here’s the cliff note version of mine:

“I am unstoppable because I am in control of my path and my destiny.

I do not believe in exit signs on my path, I am on a collision course with my dreams.

My journey may not be straightforward, but I hold the power to correct and change at any moment.

My path is mine to chose, I refuse to settle for less than unstoppable.

I am always moving forward, never looking back, I will not miss out on my future.

Nobody has the right to green-light my dreams, I am not tethered to my past.

I am unstoppable because there is only one of me.”

Inside the Grit & King environment we encourage everyone to have their own voice.

This was a team exercise, as you can see it really stuck with me.
