That’s a wrap on the 2026 Employee Giving Campaign! 🔑

And WOW, what an incredible employee community we have here at Dallas College.

We’re excited to share that this year, our employees broke records for both dollars raised and employee participation. Together, 1,165 employees generously gave $281,681 exceeding our $275,000 goal!

While the Emergency Aid Fund was this year’s priority, employees gave across Dallas College Foundation programs, supporting the scholarships, funds and dreams that help our students keep moving forward.

Because of you, students will have financial barriers cleared and more opportunities to focus on what’s next.

From our team to yours, thank you to every Dallas College employee who gave, participated, tabled, hosted an event or simply spread the word to help us Unlock What’s Next for our students.

THANK YOU!

We’re excited to celebrate the opening of the new Welcome Center at Dallas College Mountain View Campus!

Thanks to donor support, students now have a central place to connect with resources designed to help them succeed, including the food pantry, clothing closet, child care services and more.

Hear from Executive Director of Dallas College Foundation, Josh Skolnick, and Dallas College Chancellor Justin Lonon on what the new Welcome Center means for students. And stick around for the ribbon cutting at the end! ✂️

Check it out next time you’re at the Mountain View Campus.

In fall 2025, Aniya Robertson was supporting herself while going to school at Dallas College.

After struggling in one of her classes, she was no longer eligible for financial aid and had to figure out how to keep moving forward.

That’s when she turned to the Emergency Aid Fund.

The support helped Aniya cover essential expenses and stay focused on continuing her education. One year later, she’s back on track and working toward her goals as a psychology student!

Stories like Aniya’s are why the Emergency Aid Fund is set as a priority through this year’s Employee Giving Campaign.

There’s still time to make a difference. Employees can give through Sept. 30 and help us for Dallas College students: https://foundation.dallascollege.edu/priorities/employeegiving/

North Texas is growing, and building the workforce to keep up starts with informing students what’s possible.

The Be Pro Be Proud Texas Mobile Workshop is bringing hands on career exploration directly to students, using virtual and augmented reality to introduce them to careers in welding, heavy equipment operation, construction and other skilled trades. In its first six months, the program is expected to reach more than 1,500 students across DFW.

“We have to do a better job of telling the story of these amazing career opportunities. When you look at what’s happening with the Texas economy right now, it’s on the backs of construction.” — Meloni Raney, president and CEO of TEXO

We’re proud to be one of the partners helping bring this work to North Texas and connecting more students with career paths they may not have considered before.

One week left to make your gift to the 2026 Employee Giving Campaign! ⏱️

Still on the fence about giving this year? LaQueta Wright, 2026 Employee Giving Campaign chair, shares why she gives and why every employee’s participation matters.

Together, we’re working toward 1,250 employee donors and $275,000 for the Student Emergency Aid Fund, helping students access critical support when unexpected expenses threaten to derail their education.

There’s still time to be part of it. Give by Sept. 30 and help us for Dallas College students.

Why do you give? 💙

For us, it’s about opening doors, creating opportunities and helping Dallas College students keep moving forward.

This North Texas Giving Day, your gift to Dallas College Foundation can help make that possible. And if you’re looking for a place to make an immediate impact, consider supporting the Emergency Aid Fund, helping students navigate unexpected expenses that could otherwise get in the way of their education.

Every gift has a reason. What’s yours?

We’re excited to announce that we’re joining the larger Dallas College team and EdTrust Texas as part of the 2026–27 Student Success Action Lab, with Dallas College leading the Texas team.

Over the next eight months, we’ll dig into what it could take to bring the proven CUNY ASAP model (one of the most researched, most effective student success programs out there) to more students in Texas, from building the right partnerships and understanding costs to making sure the support fits the needs of our student body.

The goal is to take what we learn and build a plan that helps more students stay on track, graduate and transfer to the school of their choice.

Thank you to our partners at CUNY ASAP! We're ready to get to work.

✨ We are celebrating courage, perseverance and the power of
what’s possible.

Congratulations to Zoe Odusola and Felicia Rodriguez, Dallas College’s 2026–2027 Erin Tierney Kramp Scholars!

On August 25, Zoe and Felicia were honored at a special awards program and dinner celebrating their achievements and the journeys ahead.

The scholarship recognizes students who have shown extraordinary courage and perseverance while providing mentorship, encouragement and support along the way.

At Dallas College, we believe students thrive when the right support is there when they need it.

We’re proud to celebrate Zoe and Felicia and all they’re working toward!
