Donate to Standing with Tim Sullivan and His Family, organized by Charles Jones 03/22/2026

I want to thank Charles Jones and the Dallas Hispanic Firefighters Association for putting this together to help out a Brother in need. No matter which association puts it together we will always support helping our fellow Dallas FireFighter’s. Tim and his family have been thru a crazy journey that have left them with many bills that this could help alleviate.

What a special day today at the LODD Memorial Service. We were able to recognize our 82 line of duty deaths going back to 1902.

Thank you to everyone who helped put this together. We have not been able to do this since 2015 because of COVID in 2020.

Today we had over 300 people attend the memorial service. City council members Cara Mendelsohn, Maxie Johnson, Lori Blair and Chief of Public Safety Artis. We appreciate all the families that were able to attend, and we will never forget the sacrifice your family has made.

God Bless! 🙏🏼

I had the honor of attending the street topper ceremony today at Zang & W. Davis. This is where DFD Captain William Jones and 2nd Driver Joseph Jones along with DPD Officer Ray A. Underwood were all killed in a motor vehicle accident at this intersection in 1963.

There were relatives from each family there to memorialize them with these street topper signs and to recognize their sacrifice. Thank you to everyone who was involved in putting this together.

Chief Ball and his command staff along with Chief Comeaux and his command staff were there. D-1 City Council Member Chad West was there as well to honor these brothers. Members from EN14, EN15 & TR23 were there as well.

We had a great weekend in Colorado Springs at the IAFF Firefighter Memorial. Thankfully, we did not put any members on the wall this year. However, we did go to honor our brothers and sisters across the United States and Canada who did. There were 311 names added to the wall this year.

I was extremely proud of the way Dallas was represented this weekend. Thank you to the Dallas Firefighters Pipes and Drums as well as the Dallas Fire Fighters Auxiliary, Eternal Flames and everyone who came to support.

David Lindsey was a Sector Commander and Mia Poehlman was a flag bearer with the Honor Guard. All in all we had approximately 50 people representing DFD there.

Thank you to everyone who came to help Honor our Brothers & Sisters who made the ultimate sacrifice!

Everyone should try to make it up there at least once in their career to experience the event.

We had a great turnout today for our 2nd Assessment Center Prep Class.

Thanks to Chief Kastros and his Fire Fighter Inspiration, Readiness & Education group for coming back again to help prepare our next group of Officers.

Congrats to the members of Station 11 for being recognized today for saving a local doctor at her home suffering serious postpartum hemorrhage.

The crew was able to give her two units of blood pre-hospital arrival. They were able to save her life because of the implementation of our blood program.

Great Job Brothers!

Thanks for all you do!

Thinking of our Brothers & Sisters to the West as they cope with the loss of their Brother....

It is with profound sadness that the Fort Worth Fire Department announces the passing of Captain Daniel (Danny) Cearley after a tragic accident resulting from a fall. At the age of 50, Captain Cearley served the City of Fort Worth for 28 years. During his service, Captain Cearley not only was an exemplary firefighter and leader, but he also served as the special events coordinator for the Fire Department. He dedicated countless hours, behind the scenes, ensuring that residents and guests at all of Fort Worth’s events were safe.

Captain Cearley’s legacy with the Fort Worth Fire Department will not soon be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time.

Details about a service will be shared later when they are made available.
