You can get the car you always wanted.
Move to the city you dreamed about.
Buy the things you used to pray for.

And for a while, you’ll be happy.

Then your heart starts wanting something else.

That’s because the heart was never created to find its complete peace in dunya.

Enjoy what Allah gives you, but don’t expect dunya to give you what only Allah can.🤍

Your family. Your health. Your money. Your home. Your car. Your opportunities.

Enjoy them. Be grateful for them. But don’t let them make you forget the One who gave them to you.

The blessing is temporary.
The One who gave it is not.

So whenever something good comes into your life, let it take your heart back to Allah.

Don’t Make Dunya Your Goal

A degree is good.
A good career is good.
Marriage, children, money all of these can be blessings.

But none of them were meant to carry the weight of your entire life.

Because the moment you make dunya your ultimate goal, it will eventually disappoint you.

Our real goal is Allah.

Everything else is just part of the journey. Enjoy the blessings, work for them, but don’t let them become the reason you forget why you’re here.

The perfect marriage.

But what if we stopped treating them like the destination?

Dunya is a stop along the journey, not where we're meant to stay forever.

Enjoy the good. Be patient with the difficult. But keep moving toward what actually matters.

When we reflect on the life of Jonah there is one clear reality. The darkness of the belly of the whale was not his darkest moment, it was his brightest moment. because it was the moment he was closest to Allah.

لا اله الا انت سبحانك اني كنت من الظالمين.
This dua begins not with a focus on Jonah’s mistake, but rather with a focus on the oneness of Allah. Dont let your sin become so big in your eyes that eclipses the greatness of Allah. He (Jonah) knew that despite his actions Allahs love was still there.

Thats my reflection. Despite your sins, despite your repeated errors, Allah truly loves you. Even in what seems like your darkest moment.
