Texas High School Mock Trial An Advocacy Competition for High School Students (Grades 9-12) in Texas It is that time of year again!

High school students are anxiously waiting for the annual Texas High School Mock Trial Competition to get under way! Thousands of students each year participate in this highly motivating, energetic, and challenging academic competition. YOU, too, can gain an “insider’s view” of our judicial system and have a lot of fun at the same time by being among an elite number of teams who are involved in th

is academic event. The competition starts at the regional level with trials held all across Texas between January and February. The Regional winners advance to the State Competition held each March in Dallas, TX. Finally, the State of Texas champion will then compete in the National High School Mock Trial Competition held in May.

Congratulations to the team from Frisco Career and Technical Education Center, who won first place at the 46th annual Texas High School Mock Trial Competition on March 8 at the George Allen Courthouse in Dallas. This is the Frisco team’s first state championship after finishing runner-up the last three years.
